See you in January!

Hello Beautiful Beings!

We have learned that for many of you, committing to a series during the holiday season is not so easy! We had an overwhelming response from so many telling us you wanted to come to the series but just couldn't make it with the business of the holiday season.

So! We made the decision to move "Diet for our Species" Workshop III to January - the month of new beginnings :) This series will be 4 classes instead of 6, a shorter format this time to mix it up a bit.

These four classes are all about choosing foods that are for the highest good for our physical, spiritual and emotional health. When we are vibrating with health and vitality, we can do anything! We want to share this with you, so we hope you can join us for the adventure :)

Here's the lineup:

January 10 - Are you on acid? The Acid / Alkaline Connection
After the overconsumption of sugars, fats and flour, many of us are in an overly acidic state. An acidic inner ecology (low pH levels) creates toxic and acidic waste (acidosis) to build up in our Earth Suit. Because acidosis is so overlooked by main stream medicine many suffer needlessly. Cancer, heart disease, auto-immune problems, osteoporosis, low energy, unwanted weight gain, yeast infections, arthritis, poor athletic performance and premature aging, inflammation and auto-immune disorders are caused when your Holy Temple is on Acid, so to speak. Sugar is the worst culprit.
In this class discover vibrant, living foods and beverages that neutralize an acidic environment. It’s been scientifically proven that cancer cells cannot grow in an alkaline environment. Learn what foods like sugar, create an imbalance in your pH and how to replace them with other living foods.

January 17 - Raising Healthy kids. You are what you eat – are you raising a ding dong?
America’s children are eating poorly, exercising less, and getting bigger; 18.3% of young Americans are obese. The good news? Independent market research firm Harris Interactive research showed that 3% of Americans ages 8 to 18 are vegetarians — meaning they do not eat meat, poultry or fish but may consume eggs and dairy.
Some kids are becoming vegan and haven’t a clue what to do and their health suffers. Others are just eating the SAD (Standard American Diet) and their health is suffering. Join us as we create 4 delicious kid-friendly dishes that are so easy your children can get involved and so yummy they will ask for more!

January 24 - Scrape off the spackle, true Beauty Comes from Within
You can use all the spackle on earth, but the most honest beauty is a result of what you place into your Holy Temple. Everything you place into your often indiscriminate mouth leaves either a good or bad mark. Garbage in-garbage out. Not to mention the patina of toxic chemicals we slather on through our cosmetics and skin care that are contributing to the waste dump we are creating inside our bodies.

Learn the basics of eating for natural beauty and how to get the healthy glow with our delicious plant based recipes!

January 31 - Building Immunity – its not too soon to get immune
Just as you would your home, do you winterize your body?
Immunity, our internal mercenary, is eager to take on any task. It’s our earth suit’s Department of Defense. The physician within provides us protection from internal hazards such as cancerous cells, arteriosclerotic plaque, cholesterol deposits and free radicals. Food is its fuel, so quality is vital. That’s what we’ll focus upon.
The flu generally peaks just before, during and after the stress of the holidays, after a self-inflicted drubbing from copious glassfuls of alcohol, gravy, buttery/sugary treats, gluttony, second-hand smoke and lack of sleep. We get swept up in the sweet, addictive emotion of the holidays, turning a blind eye to the healer within, not to mention future consequences.

Learn how to build your immunity with a plant based diet, herbs and simple activities like meditation and yoga.

We hope you can join us in January for this fun, informative and transformative series. Stay tuned for a list of vendors that will be contributing prizes for our series.

As always, we want to give a shout out to Good Earth Natural Foods who will again be our sponsor for the series. If you haven't been there lately, please go visit and say hello. They have such an amazing collection of herbs, organic produce, seaweeds and so very much more. We love you Good Earth!

Happy Holidays from the Food Bliss Crew!!
